Question: Was the gender gap study done particularly for digital financial gender gap? Is it available to public reading?Answer from BBVA: The global results are available at Aequales webpage https://par.aequales.com/
Laura Fernandez Lord
01:39:19
It is a ranking of internal equity practices which has become very relevant in the region for the private sector. More than a digital financial gender gap study. There it is more difficult to find data and studies. We will share some of our findings.
Helen Luskin Gradstein
01:41:48
Question: Do we have many central banks headed by women?Answer: According to OMFIF 2021 Gender Balance Index (GBI) Report;• Just over one-third of central banks have a woman in the position of deputy governor.• Out of 185 central banks globally, only 18 are headed by women and one in six have no women at all in senior management.• Analysis of a random sample of 25 central banks showed that women in executive roles are more likely to head human resources and other administrative directorates. In 16 of these 25 institutions, the head of such directorates was a woman.

@Roshaneh - tied to your comment about MFI's and women's access to financing, how are you measuring "agency"?
Roshaneh Zafar
01:45:20
In terms of control over their income, financial decision making, growth in their businesses and self perception indicators

Thank you for bringing that up Rosaneh! I was just about to ask about actively involving men in women's empowerment policies. Very important!

01:58:15
It's great initiative to women employment. 50percent women workforce is confirmed before opening a new branch. We hope application of such condition in other sectors too
Laura Fernandez Lord
02:18:15
So true Roshaneh, gender champions are essential.Specially in the top management
Arpita
02:19:55
Intersectionality is important while developing a D&I code. It is not enough to just increase numbers of women by filling up leadership positions with women from privileged backgrounds. It is important to ensure that a cross section of women across the most marginalized economic, ethnic and racial groups are empowered.
