link to EU ITS band plan https://5gaa.org/news/deployment-band-configuration-for-c-v2x-at-5-9-ghz-in-europe/
Alexandre Petrescu
06:50:02
Thanks for the proposal of allocation plan! It is interesting to see how it would integrate LTE-V2X at 5905-5915 whereas the FCC (USA) puts C-V2X at 5885-5905; it is a reverse proposal :-) Or maybe I dont understand it correctly.
Alexandre Petrescu
06:53:19
The FCC allocation plan is at https://www.fcc.gov/document/fcc-seeks-promote-innovation-59-ghz-band-0 ; It says 5850-5895 is for 'unlicensed' like pure WiFi (probably including 11p if at all), and 5895-5925 is for C-V2X and probably 5G-V2X.
Alexandre Petrescu
06:53:49
This means if I build a car and sell it in Europe I have to tweak its parameters differently than if it were sold in USA.
Maxime Flament
06:58:39
Alexandre: you anyway have to deal with the different ITS stack across regions: accommodating for the different band plans is not seen as a problem. at least not a HW one.
Alexandre Petrescu
07:03:31
Maxime, yes that is a good point.
Alexandre Petrescu
08:07:04
