Mr. Ben Nyberg, being an experienced ICT specialist in conservation, how can civil society take part in alleviating some of the challenges faced by conservationists using ICTs?

Thank you all for fantastic presentations. I have a question to all (whoever wishes to answer): A lot of technology (AI, social media, and data collection software) is created by organisations and cooperations outside of the third/non-for-profit sector. That means that we do not always know how data is collected or used (by companies or governments). Is this an issue for your work. If yes, how do you approach and mitigate issues of technology transparency and control?

related to what you just asked Vanessa - I'd like to ask the panel, what government regulations are in place that hinder your use of ICTS (I know in Namibia - Katja - you cannot use drones I think)
