PIARC the World Road association is working on a survey on perception and acceptance of autonomous driving. It's a social perspective which is indispensible for all that are interested in the development af autonomous veichles. Need the help of all stakeholders to promote our survey Worldwide. Distribution and promotion.Look us up and let's work together in this exciting project!

How should regulators face the transition period between a "traditional" transport ecosystem towards an autonomous transport ecosystem? That is, an environment in which previous transport technologies and new technologies will coexist where there might be conflict between different kinds of transport infrastructure, vehicles, norms, rules, users, etc.

most of the people don't know how to manage and configure ADAS systems, simply they disable them. Seems ADAS are simple fancy options

we already use regularly sharing vehicles and not worry about any kind of sanitary consideration. The solution to prevent any contamination inside the vehicle is a autocleaning device within the vehicle or provide simple disinfecting tools like napkins or spray. An autonomous vehicle is certainly a safer environment tha a bus or a train

When a sensor of a self-driving cars will 100% differentiate a plastic bag flying for the wind from a bird or a kid you will be right. At present, things that are trivial for human drivers are not trivial for self-driving cars (particularly in urban environments)

Stefano we are not talking about today's tecnology but beleive me sensors today couple different kinds of sensors achieving a more the 100% vision even Beyond solid objects

Absolutely, Danielle is right. Give it a few years and algorithms will improve, but it wont happen without real-life application of those systems. In addition to that, I think AI have strategic advantage that it can proceed with multi-sensory data taken from many different types of sensors and integrating them into higher dimensional vision.
